CAMERA RESOLUTION INFORMATION

Mobile Cameras capture pictures on an imaging sensor.
The Sensor has tiny light-sensitive squares called pixels. Today's Digital Cameras have sensors with millions of pictures. The Camera's resolution, described in megapixels equals 1 million pixels. A 1-megapixel camera does not have a high enough resolution for prints, but photos can be viewed on a computer.

For example :- A Camera that can create images of 1600 x 1200 pixels will sometimes be referred to as a 2 megapixels resolution camera since 1600 x 1200 = 1,920,000 pixels, or roughly 2 million pixels. Some display and camera resolutions have special names, such as VGA, QVGA, CIF and QCIF.
